울진군은 2월부터 ‘가정용 상수도요금 지원 사업’을 시행한다고 10일 밝혔다.

이번 사업은 ‘발전소 주변지역 지원에 관한 법률’에 따른 2022년 사업자지원사업으로, 지난해 초 한울본부가 제안해 최대 다수의 주민이 수혜를 입는 보편적 복지의 일환으로 울진군맑은물사업소와 수차례 업무 협의를 거쳐 시행하게 됐다.
울진군과 한울본부는 업무협약서를 체결하여 2월 상수도요금 고지분부터 지원하기로 했으며, 지원대상은 가정용 급수전을 사용하는 가구로 가구당 최대 5천원 한도로 상수도요금을 지원한다.
다만, 초과사용료 및 하수도요금, 구경별 기본요금은 지원 대상에서 제외되며 기초수급자, 다자녀가구 등 상수도 요금을 감면받고 있는 가구는 요금 감면을 우선적으로 반영 후 지원을 받게 된다.
이상직 맑은물사업소장은 “전기, 가스 등 각종 공공요금의 인상으로 가계에 부담을 느끼고 있을 군민들에게 상수도요금 지원 사업이 도움이 되길 바라고, 앞으로도 상수도요금을 지속적으로 지원할 수 있는 방안을 발굴하도록 노력하겠다”고 전했다.
