신천지예수교 증거장막성전(이하 신천지예수교회)은 2월15일자 보도자료를 통해 “신천지예수교회 이만희 총회장이 15일 국내외 목회자들과 신학생, 신앙인들을 위해 요한계시록 특강 ‘천국 비밀 계시록 증거’를 유튜브를 통해 진행했다. 지난해 말까지 이어진 신천지예수교회 12지파장의 요한계시록 전장 강의를 정리하는 성격을 가진 이번 특강은 계시록 7장의 새 하늘 새 땅 창조를 중심으로 1장부터 7장까지의 핵심을 요약하고 있다”고 밝혔다.
이만희 총회장은 강의에서 “계시록이 기록된 지 2천 년이 됐지만 예언대로 이뤄지지 않았기 때문에 이를 아는 사람은 단 한 사람도 없었다. 그러나 이룰 때에는 말씀 그대로 이뤄진다”며 이뤄질 때 요한과 같은 입장의 ‘새 요한’이 이를 직접 보고 증거하게 됨을 강조했다. 계시록 1장 1절에서 8절까지가 전체 장을 요약한 결론임을 밝힌 이만희 총회장은 9절 이후 예수님이 요한에게 일곱별이라고 하는 일곱 사자에게 회개의 편지를 보내라고 지시하셨다고 설명했다. 이 총회장은 “예수님이 일곱 사자를 세웠는데, 사단의 조직 니골라당이 일곱 사자들을 우상과 행음하도록 했다”며 “그렇기 때문에 회개의 편지를 보낸 것이며 편지의 내용은 회개하고 사단과 싸워서 이기면 이러이러한 복을 주겠다는 약속이었다”고 밝혔다. 아래 내용은 이 보도자료의 요약이다.

이만희 총회장은 “이렇게 인 맞은 14만 4천이 차면 큰 환난이 일어나게 되고 이 때 흰 무리가 예수님의 피로 죄 사함을 받고 하나님 보좌 앞으로 모여온다고 기록돼 있다”며 “하나님의 말씀은 일점일획도 다 이뤄진다”고 피력했다. 이어 “천국과 영생이 이뤄지길 바라는 신앙인이라면 하나님의 역사가 이뤄지는데 관심을 가져야 할 것”이라며 “진짜 이 말씀대로 이뤄졌는가 성경을 통해 확인을 해야 한다”고 호소했다.
이 총회장은 “하나님은 독생 성자의 피를 흘려가며 이 말씀을 우리에게 주셨는데 우리가 이 말씀을 외면해선 안된다”며 특히 목회자들을 향해 “오늘 강의에 대해 알고 싶은 것에 대해 연락을 주면 기꺼이 답을 줄 것”이라며 새 언약의 말씀을 확인할 것을 거듭 호소했다.
