[브레이크뉴스=이성용기자] 박종훈 경상남도교육감이 28일 마산고운초등학교를 방문해 새 학기 준비 상황을 점검하고, 해당 학교에서 열린 모듈러 교실 개관식에 참석했다.
이날 현장 방문은 3월 새 학기부터 학교 중심의 방역체계로 전환됨에 따라 준비 상황을 점검하고자 마련됐다. 학교를 방문한 박종훈 교육감은 마산고운초등학교의 학사 운영, 방역 준비 상황을 확인하고 지원방안에 대한 교직원들의 의견을 들었다.
현재 경남교육청은 3월 개학에 대비해 △새 학기 적응 주간 2주 운영(안전한 학사 운영 점검과 보완) △학교별, 지역별 상황에 맞는 4단계 학사 운영 △신속항원검사 키트 430만 개 확보와 보급 △학교 방역 인력 5,203명 배치 △신속한 방역체계 운영(긴급지원팀-도교육청, 현장지원팀-교육지원청, 학생 감염병 관리팀-학교) △감염병 대응 통합 전화 상담실 운영 △이동형 유전자증폭(PCR) 진단 검사소 설치 등 안전한 학사 운영을 위한 지원에 총력을 기울이고 있다.
이날 열린 모듈러 교실 개관식에는 박종훈 교육감을 비롯해 허성무 창원시장, 경상남도의회 송순호 교육위원회 위원장, 이옥선 도의원, 내빈과 학부모가 참석해 모듈러 교실의 설치 현황과 안정성을 직접 확인했다.

마산고운초등학교는 2021년 3월 40개 학급(유치원 3개 학급, 특수 1개 학급 포함) 규모로 개교했다. 이 학교는 유입 인구의 급격한 증가로 전학생과 입학생이 크게 늘자 교실 부족 문제를 해소하기 위해 모듈러 교실 20개와 향후 교실 15개 증축을 대책으로 마련했다.
