윤석열 국민의힘 대선후보가 대전·세종 경제자유구역 지정을 공약했다.
국민의힘 대전을 살리는 선거대책위원회는 5일 '윤석열이 대전시민께 드리는 약속'이란 보도자료를 내고 윤 후보가 대전·세종 경제자유구역 지정을 약속했다고 밝혔다.
선대위는 "대전과 세종은 과학기술에 기반한 투자유치 여건이 유리한 편"이라며 "대전은 수도권 다음으로 기술창업, 청년창업, 국제적 연구개발협력 기업이 집적돼 있고 국제경쟁력을 갖춘 첨단산업 도시로 성장하기 위해서라도 경제자유구역 지정이 필요하다"고 강조했다.

검토 지역은 대전은 대동·금탄, 안산 첨단국방산단, 신동·둔곡 등 681만㎡이다. 세종은 스마트 국가산단 등지의 1,105만㎡가 대상이다.
