브레이크뉴스 정명훈 기자= 윤석열 대통령 당선인은 14일 "앞으로 대통령실 업무에서 사정, 정보조사 기능을 철저히 배제하고 민정수석실을 폐지하겠다"고 밝혔다.
윤석열 당선인은 이날 안철수 인수위원장, 권영세 인수위 부위원장, 원희룡 인수위 기획위원장과 가진 차담회에서 "과거의 일명 사직동 팀은 있을 수 없다"며 이같이 말했다.
윤 당선인은 "제가 지향하는 대통령실은 사정기능을 없애고 오로지 국민을 받들어 일하는 유능한 정부"라며 사정기관을 장악한 민정수석실은 합법을 가장해 정적, 정치적 반대세력을 통제하는 경우가 비일비재했고 세평 검증을 위장해 국민신상털기와 뒷조사를 벌여왔는데 이제는 이런 잔재를 청산하겠다"고 강조했다.
김은혜 당선인 대변인은 이같은 발언에 대해 "국민으로부터 권력을 위임 받은 대통령은 헌법과 법률이 정한 권한에 따라 오로지 국가 안보, 국민 민생에 집중해야 한다는 의중이 반영된 발언"이라며 "제왕적 대통령의 폐해를 청산하겠다는 구상의 피력한 것으로, 앞으로 인수위 논의 과정에서 가장 역점을 두는 정치개혁 아젠다 중 하나가 될 것"이라고 부연했다.
윤 당선인은 이 자리에서 김한길 국민통합위원장과 김병준 지역균형발전특별위원장 인선도 발표했다.
윤 당선인은 김한길 전 민주당 대표에 대해 세대와 계층을 아우르고 국민 통합을 이뤄낼 수 있는 분이라고 설명했고, 김병준 위원장에 대해선 자치 분권에 대한 오랜 경륜과 전문성을 바탕으로 새 정부의 지역균형 발전에 대한 큰 그림을 그려줄 것으로 기대한다고 말했다.
윤 당선인은 마지막으로 "인수위 구성을 속도감 있게 진행해 가급적 이번주 내에 인수위 구성을 마무리하고 주말부터는 바로 인수 업무에 박차를 가할 수 있도록 부탁드린다"면서 "신속하게 정부 업무를 인수해 새 정부의 국정 과제를 수립하고 국가 안보와 국민 민생에 한치의 빈틈이 생기지 않도록 하겠다"고 덧붙였다.
