[브레이크뉴스=이성용기자] 경남 최초 AI 1대1 맞춤형 스마트교육 시범사업이 마산합포구에서 본격 추진된다. 최형두 의원(국민의힘, 마산합포)은 "시범사업 추진을 위해 4.87억 규모의 교육 특별교부금이 배정됐다"고 밝혔다.

이번 시범사업은 경상남도 교육청이 특별교부금과 지방비를 합해 약 10억 원의 사업비를 마련해 마산합포구 신월초등학교와 해운중학교에 AI학습지원센터를 구축하는 것으로 경남 교육청과 최형두 국회의원실은 이를 위해 긴밀히 협의해 왔다.
특히 최 의원과 도교육청은 지난해 12월 두 차례에 걸쳐 학부모 및 교직원을 대상으로 'AI학습지원센터 구축을 위한 지역교육현안 설명회'를 공동 개최했다.
최 의원은 "마산합포에서 시작되는 AI 맞춤형 스마트 교육시범 사업이 전국적으로 확대될 수 있도록 초·중등교육법 개정안(일명 AI맞춤형스마트교육법안)의 조속한 처리에 최선을 다할 것이라“고 밝혔다.
최 의원은 지난해 5월, ‘AI기반 맞춤형 미래교육 토론회’를 통해 전문가들과 함께 AI 일대일 맞춤교육의 여러 방안들을 토론해 연구자료집을 내고, 아울러 원격수업 실시 근거 규정과 교육정보화 기본계획의 정기적 수립 및 시행을 골자로 한 초·중등교육법 일부개정법률안을 발의했다. 개정안은 현재 국회 교육위원회 법안심사소위원회에 계류 중이다.
