국가철도공단, 한국수력원자력과 수소경제 활성화 ‘맞손’

국가철도공단과 한국수력원자력㈜이 ‘철도 유휴부지 수소 융복합사업 협력 강화’ 업무협약(MOU)을 체결했다고 16일 밝혔다.

양 기관은 협약에 따라 철도 유휴부지를 활용한 수소 융복합사업 모델개발과 제도 개선사항 발굴 등 상호 협력하여 정부의 수소 경제 활성화 정책에 적극적으로 부응함은 물론 공공기관의 사회적 가치 실현에 앞장서 나가기로 했다.

이번 협약을 통해 공단은 폐역과 폐선로, 유휴지 등 철도 관련 국유재산을 제공하고, 한국수력원자력㈜은 철도 부지를 활용한 분산형 수소 연료전지 발전, 수소충전소, 스마트팜 등 수소를 활용한 융복합사업을 추진할 예정이다.
