브레이크뉴스 정명훈 기자= 윤석열 대통령 당선인은 21일 경제 6단체장과 만나 "(우리나라 경제가) 정부 주도에서 민간 주도로 탈바꿈해야 한다"고 강조했다.
윤석열 당선인은 이날 서울 통의동 대통령직인수위원회 사무실에서 가진 경제 6단체장과의 도시락 오찬 회동에서 이같이 밝혔다.
이 자리에는 대한상공회의소 최태원 회장, 전국경제인연합회 허창수 회장, 중소기업중앙회 김기문 회장, 한국경영자총협회 손경식 회장, 한국무역협회 구자열 회장, 한국중견기업연합회 최진식 회장 등이 참석했다.
윤 당선인은 "이 자리는 경제에 계신 분들의 애로사항이나 정부에 바라는 점을 듣기 위해 모신 자리"라며 "저는 자유시장경제에 대한 믿음을 강하게 가지고 있다. 쉽게 보면 경제학적으로 소득이 올라야 경제 성장이고 기업이 성장하는 게 경제 성장"이라고 강조했다.
이어 "기업을 자유롭게 운영하는 데 방해되는 요소가 있다면 그것을 제거하는 게 정부가 할 일"이라며 "정부는 인프라를 만들며 뒤에서 돕고, 기업이 앞장을 서 큰 기업이든 작은 기업이든 일자리를 만들어내면서 투자도 하고 기업이 커가는 게 나라가 커가는 것 아닌가"라고 말했다.
그는 "기업은 자유롭게 판단하고 자유롭게 투자하며 성장하고, 정부는 방해 요소를 제거하는 게 최우선"이라며 "(정부가 기업을) 도와주는 것도 쉽지 않고, 기업이 자유롭게 운영되는 데 방해되는 요소가 있다면 그것을 제거하는 게 가장 정부가 할 일이 아닌가 싶다"고 거듭 강조했다.
이에 경제 6단체장은 윤 당선인의 발언에 공감을 표하며 기대감을 드러냈다.
손경식 한국경영자총협회 회장은 "우리나라는 기업 규제가 너무 많아 걸림돌로 작용한다"며 "국내 투자 활성화, 신산업의 진입장벽을 없애기 위해 규제 개혁이 시급하다"고 했다.
허창수 전국경제인연합회 회장도 "기업·창의·혁신 DNA를 마음껏 발현할 수 있도록 규제 개혁이 필요하다며 "글로벌 스탠다드에 맞지 않는 것을 개선해 경쟁할 수 있게 해달라"고 요구했다.
구자열 한국무역협회 회장은 "최근 무역 질서가 미국 중심으로 개편되고 있다"며 "정부와 산업계가 연계해 대미 통상에 대한 협력이 필요하다. 글로벌 공급망 문제는 기업들의 개별 대응이 어려운 만큼 정부가 관심갖고 지원해달라"고 했다.
최태원 대한상공회의소 회장은 '민관 협동'을 강조하며 "정책 재원이 낭비되지 않도록 경제와 안보 정책과 지역경제 활성화, 국가 전략 사업을 모두 연계시킨다면 보다 효율적으로 진행할 수 있을 것이다. 민간이 이런 정책에 참여할 수 있게 해주시면 감사하겠다"고 했다.
