대전시가 23일 동구 중동 인쇄거리에 원도심 창업거점공간인 도심형산업지원플랫폼' 개소식을 갖고 운영에 들어갔다.
이날 개소식에는 허태정 대전시장을 비롯해 권중순 시의회의장, 황인호 동구청장, 시·구 의원, 사업추진협의체 대표 등 20여 명이 참석해 도심형산업지원플랫폼 출발을 축하했다.
도심형산업지원플랫폼은 원도심의 지역산업 인프라를 활용해 고부가치산업 도입을 지원하고, 지역 자생력 키우기 위해 구축됐다.
총사업비 196억 원이 투입된 이번사업은 지난해 말 플랫폼동과 주차장동을 준공했다.
플랫폼동은 지하2층 지상5층, 연면적 5,344㎡ 규모로 건축됐으며, 주차장동은 지하 1층, 지상 6층, 연면적 7,405㎡ 규모에 주차공간 194면을 조성했다. 플랫폼동 주차장동은 오버브릿지로 연결돼 편리하게 이동할 수 있다.
시는 플랫폼동에 인쇄 협업공장, 인쇄박물관, 인쇄기획사무실을 마련해 인쇄산업 육성을 위한 거검 공간을 조성한다.
또, 뷰티케어 운영지원실, 웹튠운영사무실 등을 운영해 도심형산업의 창업거점으로 만들어 나간다는 구상이다.
허태정 대전시장은 “최근 코로나 19로 인해 인쇄출판 수요가 감소되어 지역인쇄업체가 많은 어려움을 겪고 있다며, 도심형산업지원플랫폼이 인쇄산업 활성화에 기여할 것으로 기대된다”며, “플랫폼이 쇠퇴한 원도심에 신성장 동력산업 유치해 청년 일자리 창출과 원도심 지역경제 활성화를 실현하는 도시재생의 마중물이 될 수 있도록 운영해 달라”고 당부했다.
한편,대전 동구 중동 인쇄거리는 서울, 대구와 함께 우리나라 인쇄산업의 3대 축을 이루고 있으며, 약 750여 개의 인쇄소가 영업하고 있다.
