윤 회장은 지난 24일 YTN 라디오 ‘슬기로운 라디오 생활’ 인터뷰에서 “우리가 삼겹살을 먹을 때 1인분(150g)에 1만5000원, 1kg을 먹으려면 10만원에서 10만5000원 정도를 지불해야 한다”며 “그런데 닭고기는(한 마리에)1kg이 아니냐”고 삼겹살과 단순 무게로 비교했다.
이어 “사육농가에서 살아 있는 생닭에 1.6kg를 도계를 해야만 1kg가 나온다. 현재 시세로 생계값 1kg가 2600원인데 이걸 1.6kg로 하면 약 4160원이다”며 “여기에 도계값 1000원을 보태면 5120원, 물류 태우고 나면 현재 대형마트에서 팔리고 있는 닭 가격이 8000~9000원이다”고 설명했다.
