국가철도공단, 철도물류 활성화 협약

국가철도공단은 25일 철도물류 활성화를 통한 2050 탄소중립 실현을 위해 (사)한국물류과학기술학회와 업무협약(MOU)을 체결했다.

양 기관은 업무협약에 따라 ▲ 철도 물류부문 탄소중립 실현 및 수송분담률 향상을 위한 공동 학술, 연구 ▲ 철도물류 활성화를 위한 연구개발(R&D)과제 공동 발굴 및 참여 ▲ 철도물류 인재육성 및 지식공유 등 다양한 협력사업을 펼쳐 나가기로 했다.

앞서 공단은 수송부문 탄소중립 실현을 위해 한국교통연구원, 대한교통학회와 협약을 체결한 바 있으며, 학계 및 연구기관과 협력해 철도 물류 활성화 방안을 적극 모색해 나갈 계획이다.

김한영 이사장은 “2050 탄소중립 실현을 위해 친환경 교통수단인 철도 화물 수송시스템 전환이 필요하다.”며, “철도 물류 기반시설 확충과 전문가 양성으로 철도 화물 수송분담률을 획기적으로 개선해 나가겠다”고 말했다.
