더불어민주당 장종태 대전시장 예비후보가 7일 중앙당에 공천심사서류를 제출했다.
이날 장 예비후보는 중앙당에 제8회 전국동시지방선거 광역단체장 후보자 추천신청서를 대리인을 통해 접수했다고 밝혔다.
장 후보는 “‘대전경제 대전환’을 통해 대전의 새로운 동력을 찾고, 새로운 미래를 열겠다”라며 “경선 통과는 물론 본선에서의 승리를 통해 대전에서 파란 물결을 이어가겠다”고 각오를 밝혔다.
장종태 예비후보는 대전시 9급 공무원으로 공직에 입문해 민선 6·7기(2014. 7.~2022. 1.) 서구청장을 역임했으며 대전 자치단체장으로는 유일하게 매니페스토 기초단체장 공약이행 평가에서 7년 연속 최우수(SA) 등급을 받았다.
