브레이크뉴스 정명훈 기자= 안철수 대통령직인수위원장은 12일 새 정부 초대 내각 인선 발표와 관련 "제가 전문성이 있는 분야에 대해서는 조언을 드리고 싶었지만 그런 과정은 없었다"고 말했다.
이같은 발언은 지난 10일 발표된 새 정부 8개 부처의 내각 인선과 관련해 안철수 위원장측 의견이 반영되지 않은데 대해 간접적으로 불만을 표출한 것으로 보인다.
안 위원장은 또 최측근인 이태규 국민의당 의원이 인수위원직을 사퇴한데 대해서도 "여러가지 힘든 점이 많았던 것 같다"고 전했다.
안 위원장은 이날 서울 종로구 서울청 종합상황실에서 열린 범죄예방 정책 현장검검을 마친 뒤 기자들과 만나 "제가 인수위장을 맡은 이유도 함께 새 정부의 청사진을 제대로 그려가는 것이 첫 단추가 중요하듯 아주 중요한 일이기에 제가 그 일을 맡아서 열심히 그림을 그리고 있는 것"이라고 말했다.
이어 그는 "제가 나름대로 생각하는 가장 중요한 인사 기준은 해당 분야에 대한 전문성이 있고 도덕성이 있고 또 개혁 의지가 있고 이를 이룰만한 리더십이 있는 사람이어야 한다"면서 "거기에 적합한 그 청사진을 제대로 실행에 옮길만한 능력 있는 분들을 또 추천도 해드렸다. 하지만 인사는 당선인의 몫 아니겠나"라고 했다.
안 위원장은 그러면서 "그렇지만 이번에 인선 되신 분들이 제가 그리는 이 새 정부에 청사진에 제대로 잘 맞게 제대로 실행에 잘 옮기기를 기대하고 있다"고 덧붙였다.
그는 또한 이번주 내 발표 예정인 2차 내각 인선에 대해선 "앞서 제가 말씀드린 인재의 기준이 있지 않나. 사실은 인재가 누구 편이나 누구 사람이냐 이게 중요한 게 아니다"라며 "대한민국을 위해 정말 그 분야에 대해 전문성을 갖고 있고 도덕성이 있고, 또 개혁성과 함께 리더십을 갖고 있는 사람이면 대한민국을 위해 공헌할 수 있다고 생각한다. 저는 그런 인사가 되길 바란다"고 말했다.
다만 그는 다시 한번 "인사는 인사권자의 몫"이라고 더 구체적인 의견 표명을 피했다.
안 위원장은 아울러 '이태규 인수위원 사퇴'에 대해선 "이 의원은 먼저 제게 사퇴 의사를 밝혀와서 많은 이야기를 했다"며 "이 의원은 대선 과정, 후보 단일화 과정, 또 인수위를 하면서 여러 가지 어려움이나 또는 여러 가지 힘든 점들이 많았던 것 같다. 그래서 이런 부분들에 대해 이제 본인이 감당하기가 힘들다는 그런 뜻을 제게 전해 온 것"이라고 말했다.
그는 '이 의원이 어떤 점을 가장 힘들어 했나'라는 기자의 질문엔 "그건 개인적인 이야기니까 제가 말씀드릴 내용은 아니라고 생각한다"고 즉답을 피했고, 향후 인수위 복귀 가능성에 대해서도 "본인 마음에 달린 것"이라고 말했다.
이 의원의 인수위원직 사퇴로 인해 국민의힘과 국민의당 합당에 문제가 생기는 게 아니냐는 질문에는 "합당은 지금 당 사무총장을 포함해 당직자들에게 맡겨 놓은 상태"라며 "이제 추이를 지켜봐야겠다"고 했다.
