세종시가 이달 18일부터 노후경유차 조기 폐차 지원 신청서 등을 접수한다고 17일 밝혔다.
지원 대상은 배출가스 5등급 경유차와 덤프트럭, 콘크리트 믹서·펌프트럭 등 2005년 이전 제작된 도로용 건설기계다.
지원금액은 총중량 3.5톤 미만 차량의 경우 최대 300만 원까지로, 소상공인·영업용·저감장치 미개발 및 부착불가·저소득층 차량에 대해서는 최대 600만 원까지 상향 지원한다.
또 총중량 3.5톤 이상 차량은 최대 3,000만 원까지, 도로용 건설기계는 최대 4,000만 원까지 지원한다.
다만, 보조금을 지원받기 위해서는 세종시 또는 대기관리권역에 6개월 이상 연속 등록돼 있어야 하며, 소유기간이 6개월 이상이어야 한다.

박판규 환경정책과장은 “이번 사업은 노후경유차에서 배출되는 대기오염물질을 줄여 쾌적한 대기환경을 조성하기 위한 것”이라며, “노후경유차를 보유하신 시민들께서는 이번 기회를 적극 활용해 신차로 바꾸시기를 당부드린다”고 말했다.
