국민의힘 인천시장 경선후보인 안상수 전 시장이 이학재 후보와의 단일화 결렬로 인천시장을 향한 새 판짜기에 나섰다고 18일 밝혔다.
안 전 시장은 지난 14일 인천지방법원에서 공직선거법 위반혐의로 영장실질심사를 받았으나 구속영장이 기각됐다.
지난 1월 그의 측근이 구속된 사건과 관련해 검찰이 공직선거법 위반 혐의로 안 전 시장에 대해 구속영장을 청구했으나 인천지법 김현덕 영장전담 부장판사는 “주거가 일정하고 신분이나 경력 등에 비춰도 도주의 우려가 없다”는 이유로 구속영장을 기각하면서 무고함을 증명했다.
안상수·이학재 후보는 지난 7일 단일화 합의로 이 두 사람 중 단일후보가 유정복 경선후보와 경선을 치르기 위해서는 15일 오전 여론조사 최종안 합의, 17일~18일 단일화 여론조사, 19일에는 단일후보를 발표한다는 일정이다.
