국가철도공단이 대전 엑스포 시민광장에서 열린 제42회 장애인의 날 행사에 참여해 후원금 전달과 행사부스 운영 등 장애인들과 뜻깊은 시간을 보냈다고 20일 밝혔다.
이날 공단은 300만원 상당의 후원금과 기념품을 지원하고 자원봉사단 30여 명이 행사에 참석해 안전관리, 어울림한마당 시행, 홍보부스 운영 등 원활한 행사 진행을 도왔다.
한편, 공단은 지난 2005년부터 매년 장애인의 날 행사에 참여해 3,500만원 상당의 후원금과 물품을 지원하는 등 다양한 나눔활동을 전개하고 있다.
박진현 경영본부장은 “코로나19 장기화로 지쳐있던 장애인들에게 온기를 전달할 수 있어 뜻깊은 시간이었다”며, “앞으로도 다양한 활동으로 사회적가치 실현에 앞장서겠다”고 말했다.
