【브레이크뉴스 울진】이우근 기자=울진군은 지난 3월 발생한 대형산불 피해복구와 관련 334억 8천만원 재난안전특별교부세 항구복구비를 확보했다고 22일 밝혔다.

군에 따르면 이번에 확보한 교부세는 전체 복구비 3,027억원에서 복구계획 상 공공시설복구에 드는 군비 560억원 중 60%에 해당하는 334억원을 추가로 확보한 것으로, 산불피해 복구계획에 따라 나곡소각장, 흥부생활체육공원, 죽변 화성리 공설묘지, 마을회관, 산림복구 등 공공시설 복구비에 사용토록 지원됐다.
이로써 재정자립도가 10.6%에 불과한 울진군으로서는 산불피해 복구에 드는 재정부담을 덜 수 있게 되었을 뿐만 아니라 2023년도 공모사업과 대형 사업을 정상적으로 추진할 수 있는 계기를 마련했다.
군은 이번 항구복구비 확보를 위해 지난 3월 28일 박형수 국회의원과 전찬걸 울진군수가 산불피해 복구 예산확보를 위해 기재부와 행안부를 함께 방문하며 지원 건의한바 있다.
박형수 의원은 “특별재난지역 선포 이후 지원책 마련을 위해 울진군과 동분서주하며 노력했다”며, “필수 공공시설에 적절한 복구가 이루어져 주민 여러분이 생활하는 데 불편함이 없도록 노력하겠다”고 말했다.
전찬걸 울진군수는 “이번 교부세의 확보로 공공시설 복구에 사용할 군비재원을 활용해 다른 부분으로 지원할 여력이 생겼다”며,“산불피해를 이겨내고 이재민들이 희망을가지고 다시 일어설 수 있도록 복구에 최선을 다하겠다”고 전했다.
앞으로도 울진군은 국회의원, 중앙부처와 긴밀한 공조체계를 통해 지역의 산불피해 복구에 차질이 없도록 만전을 기할 예정이다.
