최교진 교육감, 세종시교육감 재선도전 선언

최교진 세종시교육감이 25일 교육감 선거 출마를 공식 선언했다. 최 교육감은 이날 세종교육청 로비에서 기자회견을 열고 “교육수도 완성을 책임지겠다”며 포부를 밝혔다.

최 교육감은 “전국에서 가장 높은 등교율을 실현하는 등 세종교육이 위기에 강할 수 있었던 이유는 지난 10년 눈부시게 성장한 결과”라며 “허허벌판에서 전국 최고 수준의 교육환경과 교육복지를 실현하고 초등학교 1학년 학급당 학생 수 20명, 캠퍼스형공동교육과정 등 대한민국 교육의 새로운 표준이 됐다”고 평가했다.

최 교육감은 26일 선관위 예비후보 등록을 마치고 충령탑과 국립 대전 현충원 세월호 순직 교사들의 묘소를 참배하는 일정을 시작으로 본격적인 선거운동을 진행하겠다는 계획이다
