충남도가 당진시 국가어항 내에 물류 전문업체가 판매자 대신 주문에 맞춰 제품을 선택하고 포장한 뒤 배송까지 마치는 방식인 ‘풀필먼트(fulfillment service) 기능을 도입한 저온 위판장을 조성한다고 26일 밝혔다.
충남도의 이 같은 발표는 해양수산부가 주관한 ‘2022년 유통단계 위생 안전 체계 구축사업’ 공모에서 당진수협 저온 위판장이 최종 선정되면서 조성이 가능하게 됐다.
이번 선정으로 내년까지 총 30억 원을 투입해 당진시 석문면 장고항리 장고항 국가어항 내 연면적 950㎡ 규모로 저온 경매장, 선별장, 포장실, 출하장 등을 갖춘 폐쇄형 저온 위판장을 조성한다.
충남도는 당진수협 저온 위판장을 조성·운영하면 소비자에게 더 신선하고 안전한 수산물 공급이 가능해질 것으로 전망하고 있다.

또 단순 위판기능을 넘어서 선별·포장·배송까지 산지와 소비지를 직접 연결하는 지역 수산물 물류 허브로의 활용도 기대하고 있다.
당진시와 당진수협은 위판장 구축 이후 안정적인 거래처 확보를 위해 유통·가공 업체인 얌테이블, 어업회사법인 주안과 업무 협약을 체결했고 당진파머스, 그린피시팜, 어촌계와 원활한 위판장 운영을 위한 원물 확보 업무 협약을 맺었다.
한편 충남도는 지난 2020년 같은 공모 사업에 서천군 수협이 선정돼 저온 위판장을 구축·운영하고 있으며, 자동 선별기와 저온 차량도 도입한 바 있다.
