야외활동이 많아진 요즘 고양시가 덕양1지역 내 어린이 놀이터 10개소에 모래 소독을 실시한다.
시는 지난 25일을 시작으로 28일까지 소독 작업을 실시한다고 밝혔다.
덕양1지역 근린공원 내 어린이 모래놀이터는 총 10개소로, 충장공원 1개소, 별빛공원 1개소, 은빛공원 1개소, 꽃물공원 1개소, 고양공원 1개소, 내유동문화공원 1개소, 성라공원 2개소, 지도공원 2개소이다.

시는 먼저 토양관리기로 놀이터 모래를 15cm 깊이로 파 쓰레기나 유리. 담배꽁초 등 이물질을 제거한 후 모래를 위아래로 뒤섞어 통기성을 높이고 수분을 배출시킬 예정이다.
이어 고온스팀장비를 이용해 살균 및 기생충란 제거 작업을 실시한다. 모래뿐만 아니라 놀이시설도 고온 소독할 예정이다.
