세종시, ‘세종 진입관문’경관개선 마스터플랜 수립

세종시 주요 진입부에 세종시의 정체성이 담긴 도시경관이 조성될 전망이다.

세종시는 주요 진입관문의 경관을 개선하고 특색있는 도시이미지를 알리기 위해 ‘세종시 진입관문 경관개선 마스터플랜(종합계획)’을 수립한다고 27일 밝혔다.

진입관문은 도시의 첫 인상에 영향을 주는 만큼, 이번 종합계획은 세종시 출범 10주년을 맞이해 새롭고 특색있는 경관을 연출하고 시정 홍보를 극대화하고자 마련됐다.

종합계획의 골자는 청주, 대전 등 인접 지역과의 경계부 10곳의 경관을 체계적으로 개선하고자 수립하는 것으로, 사업별 규모와 사업 추진계획, 유지관리방안 등을 담을 계획이다.

이에 따라 시는 종합계획 수립을 위한 오는 12월까지 연구용역을 추진하기로 하고 27일 세종 SM타워 8층 중회의실에서 착수보고회를 개최했다.

연구용역에서는 세종의 도시이미지를 분석하고 형상화해 진입관문 경관개선의 기본방향을 설정하게 된다.

경계부는 천안 1곳, 공주 4곳, 청주 3곳, 대전 2곳 등 총 10곳으로 교통량, 가시성 등을 종합분석해 경관개선 사업의 우선순위를 설정하고 연도별 사업추진계획을 도출할 예정이다.

또한, 사업 우선순위와 전문가, 시민들의 의견을 토대로 경계부 중 1곳을 선정해 이에 대한 실시설계도 진행한다.
