충남도의회가 27일 시·군의회 선거구 획정을 마무리 했다.
도 의회는 이날 오후 제336회 임시회 제1차 본회의를 열고 ‘충청남도 시?군의회 의원 지역구의 명칭?구역 및 의원정수에 관한 조례 일부개정조례안’을 심의·의결했다.
이번 개정안은 도내 기초의원 정수가 총 171명에서 177명으로 6명 증원됨에 따라 조례로 정하는 시?군의회 선거구 및 의원정수를 조정하는 것이 골자다. 도내 시?군의회는 논산?계룡?금산의 중대선거구제 시범 실시에 따른 논산시의원 1석을 포함해 천안 2석, 아산·서산·당진 각 1석씩 6명이 증원됐다.
앞서 충남도는 ‘충청남도 시?군의원 선거구획정위원회’가 마련한 ‘충청남도 시?군의회 의원 지역구의 명칭?구역 및 의원 정수에 관한 조례’ 개정안을 지난 25일 도의회에 제출했으며, 이번 임시회 제1차 행정문화위원회에서 수정 가결됐다.
