한국수자원공사가 댐용수와 광역상수도 요금을 추가로 감면한다.
27일 수자원공사에 따르면 이번 감면은 지난 2월부터 감면에 이어 추가로 진행되는 것으로 감면 기간을 최대 6개월로 연장했다.
대상은 수자원공사에서 공급하는 댐용수 및 광역상수도에서 공급받는 전국 131개 지자체와 중소기업 , 소상공인 1,100여 곳이다.
지자체의 경우, 2022년 1월부터 11월까지 사용분을 지자체가 먼저 지역 내 중소기업(소상공인 포함)등에 요금을 감면해주고 11월까지 감면신청하면 된다.
신청 접수 후 한국수자원공사는 해당 지자체의 감면 규모를 산정하고, 다음 달 요금고지서에 감면액을 차감해 고지한다.
수자원공사 관계자는 "이번 추가 감면으로 최대 6개월분까지 감면 신청이 가능해졌다"며"실질적인 감면금액은 각 지자체의 상수도 감면물량과 연계돼 결정되며, 댐용수와 광역상수도 사용비율을 반영해 사용 요금의 50%가 감면될 예정이다.
박재현 수자원공사 사장은 “이번 추가 감면으로 중소기업·소상공인의 어려움 극복과 지자체 재정부담 완화에 실질적인 도움이 될 수 있기를 바란다”며, “공기업으로서 사회적 책임을 다하기 위해 지속적으로 노력하겠다”라고 말했다.
