허태정 더불어민주당 대전시장 후보는 5일 “아이들의 건강한 아침을 챙기겠다”며 고등학생 전 학년 학생에게 아침 간편식을 제공하겠다는 공약을 내놨다.
허태정 후보는 어린이날 100돌을 맞은 이날 오전 10시 ‘온통행복캠프’에서 정책발표회를 열고 지역 전체 고등학생들에게 아침 간편식을 제공을 약속했다. 아침 간편식은 단계적으로 초등학교와 중학교까지 확대하겠다는 계획이다.
허 후보는 지역 고등학생 전원을 대상으로 실시하는 아침 간편식 제공 공약과 관련해 “질병관리청이 지난 2020년 조사한 결과에 따르면 12세에서 18세까지 청소년 중에서 무려 46.2%가 아침을 먹지 않는 것으로 조사됐다”며 “성장기 학생 중 절반이 아침을 거른다는 것은 교육적으로 큰 문제”라고 설명했다.
그러면서 “아침밥을 거르는 고등학생들에게 빵과 우유, 과일, 시리얼, 떡 등 간편식을 제공해 아침을 걸러 건강을 해치는 일이 없게 하겠다”며 “간편식 제공은 단계적으로 초등학교와 중학교까지 확대, 대전시민인 우리 아이들의 건강한 아침을 만들고 싶다”고 바람을 말했다.
