더불어민주당 이춘희 세종시장 후보가 북부권에 구청을 신설하고, 2만호에 이르는 대규모 택지를 공급하여 조치원읍 인구 10만명 시대를 열겠다고 공약했다.
이 후보는 12일 오전 선거캠프에서 열린 제3차 공약발표에서 ‘신구도심 균형발전 5대 공약’을 발표하고 행복도시와 읍면지역의 특성을 살려 세종시 어디서나 모든 시민이 골고루 잘사는 지역 내 균형발전을 실현하겠다고 밝혔다.
