세종시, 지역주도형 청년일자리 지원사업 추진

세종시가 청년 근로자를 채용한 지역 기업에 인건비와 교육, 네트워킹 등을 지원하는 ‘지역주도형 청년일자리 지원 사업’을 추진한다.

세종시는 지난 12일 시청에서 참여기업, 청년 근로자, 세종시 및 세종창조경제혁신센터 관계자 등 50여 명이 참석한 가운데 지역주도형 청년일자리 지원 사업 협약식을 개최했다고 밝혔다.

이 사업은 행정안전부 공모 사업으로 청년에게 직접 일자리를 제공하여 청년의 지역정착을 유도하고, 지역 기업에는 인건비, 교육, 네트워킹 등 청년고용 확대를 위한 재정 뒷받침을 하는 사업이다.

세종시는 지난 2월부터 지역주도형 청년일자리 지원 사업 중 세종시 주력산업과 지역혁신 스타트업에서 일할 청년 근로자 23명을 선발했다.

타지에서 올라와 취업을 준비하는 동안 경력이나 경험이 없어 취업에 어려움을 겪던 고은주 씨도 청년 근로자에 선발됐다.

이날 협약식은 시와 세종창조경제혁신센터, 참여 기업이 상호 의무를 성실히 이행할 것을 약속하기 위한 자리로, 협약기간 동안 지속 가능한 일자리 창출과 지역 기업의 육성 발전에 상호 협력하기로 했다.
