2,700여명의 회원을 갖고 있는 범충청포럼이 13일 더불어민주당 허태정 대전시장 후보 지지를 선언했다.
범충청포럼 김갑중 상임위원장과 의장단, 회원 60여명은 이날 오후 5시 서구 둔산동 ‘온통행복캠프’에서 지지선언식을 열고 6.1 지방선거에서 허태정 후보 당선을 위한 결의를 다졌다.
이 자리에는 최근 법무부 장관직을 사임한 박범계 의원(대전 서구을)과 장종태 서구청장 후보가 함께 했다.
김갑중 상임위원장은 인사말에서 “범충청포럼 회원들은 이번 선거에서 허태정 후보를 대전시장으로 반드시 당선시켜 대전시정의 연속성을 확보하자”며 파이팅을 외쳤다.

장종태 서구청장 후보는 “국회의장과 법무부 장관을 보유한 서구”라며 “허태정 시장이 정점에 서서 이끌어 대전에 민주지방정부의 지속가능한 무대를 확고히 만들어 달라”고 했다.
박범계 국회의원은 “장종태 후보는 진짜 민주당 사람이고 민주당의 보물로 그의 말은 약속이고 실천으로 서구민은 믿고 있다”며 “허태정 후보는 지난 4년간 대전 시장으로 훌륭히 역할을 다 해 왔기에 여기서 멈출 수는 없다”고 두 후보를 칭찬했다.
