파주시는 지하차도의 교통사고 예방을 위해 한길지하차도 출구에 도로표지병을 시범 설치했다고 밝혔다.
도로표지병은 자동차의 불빛이 반사되어 도로 경계를 쉽게 구분할 수 있도록 도로에 붙여 놓는 표지물이다.
야간, 우천, 태양의 역광 발생 시 지하차도에서 출구로 나갈 때 어둠과 밝음이 순간적으로 교차하여 사고 위험이 높아, 운전자의 가시성을 확보하기 위해 도로표지병을 설치했다.

또한, 시범 설치 구간에 대해 내구성 및 안전성 검증 후 다른 지하차도에도 확대 설치할 방침이다.
