브레이크뉴스 정명훈 기자= 대통령실은 22일 윤석열 대통령과 조 바이든 미국 대통령이 전날 가진 소인수회담에서 약 70여분간 이례적으로 길게 이야기를 나눈데 대해 "자유민주주의에 공감하는 시간이었다"고 밝혔다.
대통령실 관계자는 이날 용산 청사에서 기자들과 만나 "소인수 회담은 두분 간 나눈 이야기라 다 공개는 할수 없지만 두분이 굉장히 이야기를 많이 하며 신뢰를 쌓았다고 다"며 이같이 말했다.

이 관계자는 "특히 두분은 자유 민주주의는 노력과 투쟁이 있어야만 지킬수 있다는데 깊은 공감을 했다고 한다"면서 "바이든 대통령은 어떻게 대선 출마를 결심했는지 등의 이야기를 했고, 윤석열 대통령은 검찰에 26년간 있다 자유민주주의에 대한 위기를 느껴 대선에 나섰다는 이야기를 했다고 한다"고 전했다.
이어 "두분이 자유민주주의 이야기를 폭포수처럼 쏟아냈다고 한다"고 전하며 "양 정상간 케미가 가장 중요한데, 두 분이 가치 공감대를 가지고 있는 동맹이라, 할 이야기가 많아 회담이 길어졌다"고 했다.
그러면서 "두분은 삼성전자 반도체 공장에서도 편한 분위기로 대화를 나눴고, 어제도 그 분위기가 이어져 소인수회담과 단독회담 시간도 길어졌다. 특히 확대 회담에서는 더 얘기할게 없을 정도로 멋진 파트너를 만났다는 공감대를 이뤘다"고 덧붙였다.
