[브레이크뉴스=이성용기자] (사)경남기독교총연합회, (사)경남성시화운동본부, 바른가치수호 경남도민연합회는 22일 오후 3시 창원시 성산구 용지문화공원에서 "포괄적 차별금지법 제정반대 연합집회"를 소속 교회와 교인들이 참석한 가운데 뜨거운 열기속에 개최했다.
이날 집회는 각 교단의 목사, 장로 및 포괄적 차별금지법 제정반대를 촉구하는 관련 단체 등 1만여명의 교인들과 관계자들이 참석해 "포괄적 차별금지법 제정반대"를 향한 하나된 궐기를 보였다.
지난달 26일 여야는 포괄적 차별금지법에 대한 공청회를 열기로 합의했지만, 더불어민주당은 지난 20일 국회 법제사법위원회 법안심사 제1소위원회를 열어 차별금지법 공청회 계획서를 단독으로 채택했다.

이에 법사위소속 국민의힘 의원들은 "차별금지법은 아직 시민사회와 논의가 충분히 이루어지지 않았고 국민적 합의도 전혀 없는 법안"이라고 밝히고 "민주당이 이렇게 밀어 붙이는 것은 6.1 지방선거를 의식한 의도가 명백하다"고 밝혔다.
