한국노총 산하 충남지역 20여개 산별노조와 직장노조 대표 등은 23일 “지역사회의 위기 극복과 시대 전환에 대한 절박한 현실을 강력한 추진력으로 돌파해 노동자의 어려움을 함께 하고자 하는 김태흠 국민의힘 충남도지사 후보를 지지한다”고 선언했다.
이날 노조 대표자들은 성명서를 통해서 “노동자의 희망과 노동의 가치가 온전하게 회복될 수 있도록 노동자의 든든한 버팀목이 되어 주겠다고 굳게 약속한 김태흠 후보를 지지한다”고 밝혔다.
이어 “충남의 도시근로자 수는 감소하고, 개인소득은 17개 시,도 중 하위권을 맴돌고, 양극화는 심해지고 있고, 노동의 가치 존중 정책은 후퇴하고, 경제는 어렵고 노동자는 희망의 끈마저 끊어져 노동의욕까지 상실되고, 노동자들 가족은 생계와 생존마저 크게 위협받고 있다”고 주장했다.
지지 선언에는 한국노총 충남본부는 의료산업본부(위원장 최미영), 섬유유통본부(의장 김경하), 우정본부(의장 이화영), 해상선원(의장 이경환), 전택노련(의장 김상진), 연합본부(수석부의장 김순태), 천안지부(의장 임관빈)가 참여했다. 또 삼정펄프(임홍묵), 국영지엠엔(윤동일), 희성폴리머(이광호), 롯데푸드(김일배), 종근당(서정규) 등이 이름을 올렸다.
