파주시는 ‘2022년 통일교육주간’을 맞이하여 오는 28일 임진각 평화누리에서 ‘임진각 평화로 페스티벌’을 개최한다고 밝혔다.
파주시와 경인통일교육센터가 주최하고 통일부 국립통일교육원에서 후원하는 행사로 임진각을 찾는 방문객 및 시민들에게 평화공존 분위기 확산 및 평화통일 공감대 형성을 위해 마련됐다.

임진각 평화로 페스티벌은 ▲임진강 예술단 북한문화 예술공연 ▲평화영상 상영 ▲통일영화 ‘여보세요’ 상영 및 감독과의 대화 ▲DMZ 포토존 운영 등 방문객들이 함께 참여할 수 있는 다채로운 프로그램들로 진행될 예정이다.
서병권 평화협력과장은 “통일교육주간을 맞이하여 시민들이 볼거리, 체험거리 등 다양한 평화통일 콘텐츠를 즐기며 평화의 소중함을 생각하는 시간이 되길 바란다.”고 말했다.
‘통일교육주간은’ 국민의 통일 공감대 확산을 위해 매년 5월 넷째 주로 지정하여 운영하고 있으며 올해로 10주년을 맞이했다. 파주=박정호기자
