국민의힘 박희조 동구청장 후보는 24일 대동오거리에서 아침 인사를 시작으로 정다운복지관 방문하고 삼성동 복지만두레 행복밥상 행사 참석해 구민들에게 지지를 호소했다.
이후 박 후보는 성남동 우향경로당 방문 등 동구 곳곳을 돌며 주민과 호흡한 뒤, 원동네거리에서 저녁 인사를 끝으로 이날 유세를 마무리했다.
박희조 후보는 성남동 우향경로당 방문에서 “코로나 시국에 경로당 운영이 어려웠는데, 이제 거리두기가 완화돼 다행이다. 어르신께서 행복해야 동구가 행복하다. 1인가구 어르신들을 위해 병원안심동행 서비스 도입 및 안심돌봄서비스 확대를 이뤄내겠다.”고 다짐했다.
앞서 ,정용기 전 국회의원은 박희조 후보 선거사무실을 찾아 “다가오는 지방선거에서 압도적 승리로 정체된 대전을 바꿔야한다.”고 강조했다. 정용기 전 의원은 “오랜 기간 국회와 당에서 함께하며 박희조 후보의 진면목이 빼어나다는 생각을 했다”면서 “선거운동기간 국민의힘의 승리와 시정교체, 구정교체를 위해 뛰겠다.”고 말했다.
한편 공식선거운동 7일차인 25일에는 오후 3시경 국민의힘 배현진 최고위원 등이 동구 역전시장, 중앙시장에 방문해 박희조 후보 지지유세를 펼칠 예정이다.
