충청지역 환경 범죄 근절을 위한 업무협약이 체결된다.
금강환경청과 충북경찰청은 25일 업무협약식을 갖고 협력체계에 구축에 본격 나선다.
협약은 ▲ 환경오염 취약시기 합동단속 ▲ 정보 공유 ▲ 첨단 감시장비 지원 ▲ 전문인력 역량 강화 교육 등 4개 분야로 이루어져 있다.
협약으로 양 기관은 환경오염 취약시기.지역에 대한 합동단속을 실시하고, 합동단속 과정에서 확인된 환경범죄에 대해 환경특별사법경찰이 수사를 진행한다.
또, 제보 등을 통해 수집된 환경범죄 정보와 대기배출원 관리시스템, 올바로시스템 등의 사업장 환경정보 시스템 정보를 주기적으로 공유한다.
이번 협약으로 충북경찰청에서는 디지털포렌식, 금강환경청에서는 이동측정차량, 휴대용가스분석기 등 첨단 감시장비를 지원하고 기관간 전문인력 역량 강화를 위한 교육도 진행된다.
정종선 금강유역환경청장은 “ 환경청-경찰청 간 상호협력과 교류를 강화하고, 지역민의 환경권이 보장받을 수 있는 지역사회를 만들어 나가겠다"며 "지속적으로 협력과제를 발굴해 추진할 계획”이라고 말했다.
정용근 충북경찰청장은 “ 두 기관이 함께 머리를 맞대고 실효성 있는 개선방안을 추진해 나가는 첫 발걸음이 되길 바란다"며, "다방면에서 지역환경의 보전을 위해 환경청과 긴밀하게 협력하겠다”고 했다.
