브레이크뉴스 정명훈 기자= 6·1 지방선거에서 서울시장에 당선, 연임이 확정된 오세훈 시장은 2일 "서울시가 정체·퇴보한 부분이 많아 이런 부분을 바로잡고 뛰겠다"고 각오를 다졌다.
'사상 첫 4선 서울시장'이란 타이틀을 얻게 된 오세훈 시장은 이날 새벽 당선이 확실시 된 이후 서울 중구 프레스센터에 마련된 선거캠프에서 "정말 무거운 책임감을 느낀다. 다시 한번 믿고 성원해준 시민분들에게 감사하다"며 이같이 밝혔다.
오 시장은 "파리, 런던 등 이런 도시와 어깨를 나란히 하고 앞장서야 대한민국이 10위권 안쪽으로 확실히 들어가서 수치보단 가치로 승부하는 성숙한 선진국이 될 수 있도록 서울을 반열에 올리겠다"고 강조했다.
그는 또한 이번 당선으로 차기 대권 유력후보로 부상했다는 분석에 대해선 "굉장히 사치스러운 생각"이라며 "시정에만 최선을 다하겠다. 서울시를 글로벌 톱5 도시로 만드는 것은 쉬운 일이 아니다. 시장의 책무는 대통령과 비교해도 가볍지 않다"고 했다.
