브레이크뉴스 정명훈 기자= 진중권 전 동양대 교수는 더불어민주당이 비상대책위원장으로 4선의 우상호 의원을 선출한데 대해 '그 나물에 그 밥'이라고 혹평했다.
진중권 전 교수는 지난 7일 밤 CBS라디오 ‘한판승부’에서 "개인적으로는 이분은 강성도 아니고 원만한 인품을 가진 분이라서 무난하다고 보는데, 다소 그 밥에 그 나물이라는 인상은 좀 있다"고 밝혔다.
그는 "이번 비대위는 전당대회를 준비하는 것과 미뤄뒀던 대선 백서 쓰는 일을 해야 되지 않겠나"라며 "쉽게 말하면 두 번에 연거푸 3연패를 했는데 패배 원인이 어디에 있고 책임이 누구에게 있는지 확실히 해야 되는데 과연 이 작업을 하기 적합한 인사인지, 그런 의사와 의지를 가진 인사인지는 솔직히 잘 모르겠다"고 지적했다.
이어 그는 "지금 민주당은 쇄신을 하고 새로운 지도부를 꾸려야 하는데 과거와 선을 그을 수 있는 작업을 하려면 전제조건이 반성과 쇄신이고 그 다음에 평가가 있어야 한다"면서 "그러나 우상호 비대위원장 선임은 그 작업을 안하겠다는 것이다. 바로 전당대회 준비로 가게 되면 결국 내년 2년 후에 공천권을 둘러싼 친명(친이재명)과 친이(친이낙연)의 계파싸움을 정리한다는 건데 그럼 결국 반성과 쇄신은 다 날아가 버린다"고 주장했다.
진중권 전 교수는 또한 "이재명 의원도 대선 후보로서 패배의 책임이 있고 지방선거 총괄선대본부장으로서 선거 사령탑으로서 책임을 져야 한다"며 "그런데 이분은 (전당대회에) 또 나올 거다. 이런 부분에 대해 정리 없이, 반성과 쇄신의 책임지는 것 없이 다른 사람들한테 어떤 책임을 묻겠냐"라고 비판했다.
그는 ‘이재명 의원은 전당대회 출마에 입장을 내놓지 않았다’는 진행자의 반문엔 "뭘 생각을 안 해봤나. 뻔하다. 그 분은 나올 분"이라고 단언했다.
진중권 전 교수는 "이재명 의원은 복잡한 문제가 있다. 당에 착근을 못한 상태이지 않나. 당 바깥에 있었고 이른바 친명계 의원들도 더러 생겼는데 만약 대표 출마를 안하게 되면 친명계 의원들 모두 찬밥 된다"면서 "결국 자기 혼자 몸이 아니고 자기 식구들을 위해서라도 출마할 수 밖에 없다"고 했다.
