이번 희망장수사진 무료촬영은 죽변면 지역발전을 위해 헌신한 어르신들의 건강과 장수를 기원하는 행사로, 죽변면 어르신 122명이 신청한 가운데 죽변 신성스튜디오에서 진행되었고, 일부 거동이 불편한 주민에게는 직접 찾아가는 방문촬영 서비스를 제공했다.
죽변면 도시재생뉴딜사업 대상지인 죽변 1리, 2리 주민들을 대상으로 4월 18일부터 4월 22일까지 5일간 신청을 받아 5월 8일 어버이날 행사 기념으로 행사를 진행하고자 했으나, 코로나 및 각종 지역행사로 인해 전달식을 갖지 못하다 죽변면 전체 주민을 대상으로 기간을 연장해 5월 20일까지 참여자를 모집했다.
울진군 도시재생지원센터에는 죽변면 소재 마을회관 전체를 찾아다니며 주민들을 만나 사업설명을 하고 어르신들의 참여를 독려해 122명의 신청을 받는 등 적극적인 홍보활동을 펼쳤다.
특히 죽변 재래시장 상인들은 이번 행사를 위해 장옥내에 위치한 전시장을 깨끗이 청소하고, 홍보물 설치 및 전시 등 행사준비에 만전을 기했다.
행사를 주관한 김정한 도시재생지원센터장은“이번행사를 통해 도시재생사업에 대한 주민들의 인지도를 높이고 앞으로도 다양한 주민지원 사업추진으로 죽변면 주민들의 삶의 질을 향상시키는데 기여할 것으로 기대된다”고 말했다.
