브레이크뉴스 정명훈 기자= 검찰이 '산업통상자원부 블랙리스트 의혹'과 관련, 백운규 전 산업부 장관에 대해 구속영장을 청구했다.
서울동부지방검찰청 기업·노동범죄전담부(부장검사 최형원)는 13일 직권남용권리행사방해 혐의로 백운규 전 장관에게 구속영장을 청구했다고 밝혔다.
백 전 장관이 산업부 장관 재직 시절 13개 산하기관장에게 사직서를 제출하도록 요구한 혐의다.
또한 A 산하기관 후임 기관장 임명과 관련해 부당지원을 하고, B 산하기관 후임 기관장 임명 전 시행한 내부인사를 취소하라고 지시한 혐의도 받고 있다.
검찰은 지난달 백운규 전 장관의 자택과 사무실 등을 전방위적으로 압수수색 실시해 혐의를 입증할만한 자료를 확보한 것으로 전해졌다.
지난 9일에는 확보한 자료를 바탕으로 백 전 장관을 피의자 신분으로 불러 조사를 진행했고, 조사 4일 만에 신변확보에 나선 것이다.
반면 백 전 장관측은 "법과 규정을 준수하며 업무를 처리했다"며 혐의를 전면 부인했다.
한편 법원은 조만간 구속 전 피의자심문(영장실질심사)를 통해 구속 여부를 판단할 예정이다.
