제4기 세종시장직 인수위원회의 명칭이 '일하는 인수위'로 정했다.
인수위원회 서만철 위원장은 13일 인수위 브리핑룸에서 기자회견을 갖고 "단순한 인수인계가 아닌 미래전략도시를 설계하고 세종 청사진을 준비한다는 의미로 인수위 명칭을 이 같이 정했다"고 설명했다.
서만철 위원장은 "앞으로 40일 남짓한 짧은 기간이지만 당선인의 공약 기반 위에 핵심과제를 발굴하고 다듬어 나가겠다"며 "시정4기 과제는 세종의 미래를 가늠할 나침반이자, 행정수도 그 이상의 미래전략도시를 향한 세종의 원대한 포부를 실현하는 원동력이 될 것임"을 강조했다.
이어 "인수위는 세종 시민의 명령을 받든다는 소명의식으로 업무에 임하겠다"며 "무엇보다 겸허한 자세로 시민의 일상 속으로 더 가까이 다가가 여러분의 뜻을 경청하겠다"고 말했다.
인수위 운영에 대해서 설명했다. 최 위원장은 ‘일하는 인수위’라는 슬로건 아래, 성과를 내는 ‘실무형 인수위’, 일상 속에서 발로 뛰는 ‘현장형 인수위’, 시민에게 가까이 다가가는 ‘소통형 인수위’를 운영하겠다"고 강조했다.
그는 "각 분과와 TF를 중심으로 매일 브리핑하고, 매주 수요일에는 당선인 또는 인수위원장이 직접 기자들과 소통하는 자리를 마련하겠다"며 "시청 홈페이지와 연계된 인수위 홈페이지에서 당선인에게 바라는 시민의 의견을 적극적으로 수렴해 충실히 반영하겠다"고 약속했다.

각 분과와 TF는 세종이 교육과 경제, 행.재정 등 3가지 특례가 적용되고 이를 통해 자족기능을 갖춘 실질적인 특례시가 될 수 있도록 최민호 당선인의 8대 분야 60개 공약사항을 가다듬고 시정4기 핵심과제를 마련하게 된다.
이외에도 시청 공무원 27명을 파견 받아 시청과의 가교역할로 활용함으로써 시정3기와 4기 간 연속성을 유지해 나갈 계획이다.
서만철 위원장은 "21일까지는 세종시청 실국별 업무보고를 통해 시정 현안과 살림살이를 파악하는 시간을 가질 것"이라며 "이후 분과별, TF별 활동을 거쳐 내달 20일에는 시정4기 세종시정 핵심과제라는 성공적인 결과물을 시민 여러분 앞에 내놓겠다"고 밝혔다.
