김태흠 충남도지사 당선인은 14일 도청 별관 집무실에서 계룡세계군문화엑스포와 2022 보령해양머드박람회 조직위원회로부터 업무보고를 잇따라 받고, 관광 등 지역경제 활성화에 초점을 맞춰 행사를 준비해 줄 것을 주문했다.
김 당선인은 계룡세계군문화엑스포와 관련해 “군수?방위산업체 참여, 해외 바이어 초청 등 엑스포 의미에 맞게 행사를 마련하라”고 말했다.
또 “행사장 인근에 지역 능특산품 전시장을 마련하고, 이 전시장을 소비자들이 찾을 수 있도록 충남의 문화가 담긴 볼거리를 마련해 달라”고 덧붙였다.
보령해양머드박람회에 대해선 “일회성 축제가 아니라, 관광객을 지속적으로 유입시킬 수 있는 인프라 구축이나 관련 산업 육성 등을 함께 고민해야 한다”고 강조했다.
이와 함께 “손익분기점을 넘길 수 있도록 기업 후원, 입장권 판매 등 자체적인 세입 창출 방법을 찾아 노력해 줄 것”도 당부했다.
김 당선인은 두 행사 방문객 유입 및 교통편의 등을 위해 △인근 시군 연계 관광코스 개발 △셔틀버스 운영 검토 △도로교통 및 주차장 사전 점검 실시 등도 당부했다.
한편 계룡세계군문화엑스포는 오는 10월 7일부터 23일까지 계룡시 일원에서, 보령해양머드박람회는 다음 달 16일부터 8월 15일까지 보령 대천해수욕장 일원에서 각각 개최한다.
