[브레이크뉴스=이성용기자] 창원특례시는 17일 창원시립마산박물관에서 시민들을 대상으로 ‘창원 100년’ 사진전과 연계하여 명사 초청 특강을 개최했다.
창원특례시는 지난 4월 12일부터 7월 10일까지 창원문화재단(대표이사 임웅균)과 공동으로 창원의 변천사와 세 도시이야기를 담은 ‘창원 100년’ 사진전을 순회전 형식으로 개최하고 있다.
이번 특별 강연회는 우리 지역의 옛 사진을 통해 추억과 향수를 자극하고 건강하고 행복한 여가 활동의 기회를 제공하기 위해 마련됐다.
수십년 동안 창원 지역의 수많은 현장을 돌아다니며 직접 찍은 귀중한 사진자료를 ‘창원 100년’ 사진전을 위해 제공한 양해광 창원향토자료전시관장을 초청하여 ‘사진으로 읽는 창원 100년사’라는 주제로 1960~70년대 농경사회 이후 오늘날까지 산업사회로 변화해온 창원의 근?현대사에 대한 강의를 진행했다.
특히 이날 강연회에는 지역사회를 위해 묵묵히 봉사를 실천하고 계신 마산박물관 자원봉사자와 마산합포노인복지회관 선배시민자원봉사자 20여 명이 참석하였다. 참석한 자원봉사자는 과거를 회상하며 오랜만에 동년배 친구들과 이야기를 나눌 수 있는 시간을 마련해줘서 고맙다면서 옛 사진들을 통해 기록물의 가치와 중요성에 깊이 공감했다.
김화영 문화체육관광국장은 “이번 강연회는 장기간의 사회적 거리두기로 지친 시민들에게 따뜻한 위로를 전하는 시간이었다”며 “앞으로 마산박물관은 시민들이 공감하고 소통할 수 있는 다양한 문화행사를 지속적으로 개최할 것”이라고 말했다.
