전국시도자치경찰위원장협의회(이하 협의회)는 자치경찰 시행 1주년을 맞이해 22일 서울시청에서 정기회를 개최했다.
이날 회의는 전국 18개 시·도자치경찰위원장 등이 참석한 가운데 △ 자치경찰제 주요 현안 대정부 공동건의문 발표 △ 회장을 비롯한 제2기 임원진 선출 순으로 진행됐다.
협의회는 △ 자치경찰위원회 파견 경찰공무원 정원 반영 △ 자치경찰제 현장의견 반영을 위한 창구 마련 △ ‘자치경찰권 강화’ 국정과제 이행 방안을 내용으로 하는 대정부 공동건의문을 발표하고 행정안전부와 경찰청의 조속한 협력을 촉구했다.
