[브레이크뉴스=이성용기자] 행정안전부 지방자치인재개발원은 시·도 및 시·군·구의회의장협의회와 공동 주관하여 지난 6월 1일에 실시한 전국동시지방선거에서 당선된 초선의원을 대상으로 “초선의원 의정안내과정”을 23일 온라인으로 운영한다고 22일 밝혔다.
지방자치인재개발원은 1998년부터 지방의원들을 대상으로 의정활동 수행에 필요한 전문지식 및 문제해결 역량 배양을 위한 교육과정을 매년 운영해 오고 있다.
특히, 2021년 12월 지방자치인재개발원에 지방의회 전담 교육기관인 ‘지방의정연수센터’가 신설된 이후 지방의원 및 지방의회 사무처 직원을 대상으로 다양한 맞춤형 교육프로그램을 편성·운영하고 있다.
이번에 신설·운영하는 의정안내과정은 지방의원 의정활동 방향에 대해 상세히 설명하는 “의정자세 함양” 프로그램과 행정사무감사, 조례안 제·개정, 예·결산 심사 등 지방의회 주요 기능과 관련된 “핵심 직무교육” 프로그램으로 나눠 진행할 계획이다.
