고양시는 경력단절여성의 취업을 지원하는 고양여성새로일하기센터가 여성가족부 장관 표창을 받았다고 28일 밝혔다.
특히 올해는 작년에 이어 2년 연속 A등급 선정, 여성가족부 11년 연속 수상이어서 의미가 크다고 설명했다.
매년 여성가족부와 고용노동부는 여성새로일하기센터의 취업지원 서비스 질을 향상시키고 센터 역량을 강화하기 위해 취·창업 성과, 서비스 제공, 센터 운영 등의 항목을 종합적으로 평가한다.
고양여성새로일하기센터는 제11회 여성새로일하기센터 우수기관 및 유공자 포상식에서 기관, 종사자, 기업 3개 부문에서 여성가족부 장관 표창을 수상했다.

전국 158개의 여성새로일하기센터 중 종합평가 A등급은 상위 10%인 12개 센터에만 부여되는데 고양여성인력개발센터가 그중 한 곳이 된 것이다.
고양여성인력개발센터는 2009년부터 고용노동부, 여성가족부의 지정을 받아 고양여성새로일하기센터를 운영하고 있다.
고양여성새로일하기센터는 경력단절여성에게 지역산업별, 구직자 특성별 다양한 맞춤형 취업지원을 하고 있다.
또한 경력개발형 고양MICE새일센터를 함께 운영하고 있으며 자체개발 온라인상담 서비스와 고부가가치 직업교육, 취업, 창업 지원 서비스, 인턴십 및 취업 후 사후관리 등 종합적인 취업, 창업지원 서비스를 제공하고 있다.
특히 일산서구 대화 본원뿐만 아니라 일산동구 고양고용복지플러스센터, 덕양구 덕양센터 등 고양시 3개구에서 고양시 여성들의 취?창업지원을 위한 전방위적인 역할을 수행하고 있다.
코로나19가 장기화 되는 상황에서도 취업 공백을 막기 위해 하이브리드 방식의 취업 창업 행사를 개최, 매주 ‘호호일자리찾는날’, 연 2회 여성특화 ‘호호취업박람회’, ‘호호성공페스티벌’을 운영해 역동적으로 여성 경제활동 지원을 이어나갔다.
고양여성인력개발센터는 2019년~2021년 재직여성 경력개발 상담 온라인시스템 자체 개발 구축, 빅데이터 및 메타버스 활용한 여성특화 프로그램 운영 등으로 2021년 1,939명 취업, 창업이라는 성과를 냈다.
