파주시는 7월 한 달간 관내 돼지 농가 중 폐수 정화 방류 시설 전체(27개소)를 대상으로 특별점검에 나선다고 밝혔다.

또한, 점검 대상 외 농가에 대해서는 악취 등 환경민원 발생 즉시 현장 점검을 통해 가축분뇨시설 관리기준 준수 여부를 확인할 예정이다.
시는 이번 점검을 통해 환경오염을 사전에 예방하고 가축사육 운영자의 축사 관리능력을 향상시킬 방침이다.
김종래 동물자원과장은 “가축분뇨는 유기물과 질소·인 등 영양염류 성분이 높아 하천으로 유출될 경우 심각한 수질오염을 유발하는 만큼, 축산농가에서는 자체 점검 및 퇴비 적정 관리를 통해 청정한 축산환경 조성에 동참해 주길 바란다”고 당부했다.파주=박정호기자
