브레이크뉴스 최애리 기자= 일론 머스크 테슬라 CEO가 자신이 설립한 뇌신경과학 관련 회사인 '뉴럴링크' 임원인 시본 질리스와 쌍둥이를 낳았다는 보도가 나왔다.
6일(현지시간) 비즈니스인사이더 보도에 따르면 지난 2021년 11월 일론 머스크와 시본 질리스 사이에서 쌍둥이가 태어났다.
머스크 전 연인이던 그라임스와의 사이에서 대리모를 통해 딸을 출산하기 약 한 달 전 질리스와의 관계에서 쌍둥이가 태어난 것이다. 머스크와 그라임스는 3년간 사귀었고 현재는 헤어진 상태다.
이 매체는 머스크와 질리스가 지난 4월 쌍둥이의 이름 변경을 위한 청원서를 법원에 제출하면서 이러한 사실이 알려지게 됐다고 밝혔다.
특히 일론 머스크가 질리스와 만나고 있다는 사실이 공개된 것 역시 이번이 처음이다. 질리스의 나이는 36세로 머스크(51)보다 15살 연하다.
질리스의 링크드인 프로필을 보면, 2015년 AI 전문가 자격으로 머스크를 처음 만난 것으로 보이며 2017∼2019년 테슬라의 AI 프로젝트 책임자로 근무하기도 했다.
또한 2017년 5월부터 뉴럴링크에서 근무했으며 운영 및 특별 프로젝트 이사를 맡고 있다고 적혀 있다.
질리스는 머스크가 공동 설립한 인공지능 연구회사인 OpenAI의 이사로도 활동하고 있다.
이에 따라 머스크는 총 자녀 9명을 둔 아빠가 됐다.
첫째 부인인 작가 저스틴 윌슨과 사이에서 5명, 캐나다 출신 가수 그라임스와 2명, 질리스 2명이다.
한편 머스크는 질리스와의 쌍둥이 출산 보도와 관련 특별한 입장을 밝히지 않고 있다.
