밀양 얼음골은 밀양시 산내면 남명리에 있는 재약산 북쪽 중턱의 해발 600~ 750m에 이르는 계곡이다.

바로 밀양 얼음골케이블카를 이용하는 것이다.
얼음골 케이블카는 영남알프스라 불리는 산악지대를 둘러볼 수 있는 케이블카로서 하부승강장에서 해발 1,020미터의 상부승강장까지 국내 최장의 선로길이 약 1.8킬로를 약 10분 만에 올라간다.
여기서 ‘영남 알프스’란 울산, 밀양, 양산의 접경지에 형성된 가지산을 중심으로 해발 1,000m 이상의 9개 산으로 이루어진 수려한 산세가 유럽의 알프스와 견줄만하다 해 붙여진 이름이다.

얼음골 케이블카에서 도보로 10분 정도 떨어진 곳에 시례호박소가 있다.
시례호박소는 해발 885m의 백운산 자락 계곡에 위치하며 뛰어난 풍경뿐만 아니라 시원한 계곡물로도 유명해 밀양 8경 중 하나로 손꼽힌다.
백옥 같은 화강암이 수십 만 년 동안 물에 씻겨 커다란 소를 이루었는데 그 모양이 마치 절구의 호박 같이 생겼다해 호박소라 한다.

호박소 계곡 입구에서 우측으로 방향을 틀면 큰 오르막이 없는 쾌적한 느낌의 숲길이 1km 정도 이어진다.
편백나무와 참나무가 어우러진 길을 10분 정도 걷고 나면 드넓고 평평한 하얀 바위 지대가 계곡 위에서부터 아래까지 쭉 뻗어 있는 속 시원한 장관이 펼쳐진다.
기이하게도 이 넓고 거대한 평평한 바위가 하나의 바위로 이루어져 계곡 전체를 덮고 있다.
이 바위의 면적이 무려 5,000평에 달한다고 해 ‘오천평반석’으로 이름 붙여졌다.
오천평 반석은 산림욕과 계곡 물놀이를 동시에 즐길 수 있어 휴식에 건강까지 챙길 수 있다.
