파주시사회복지협의회(회장 최명성)는 지난 6일 파주시 에너지 서비스(파주ES)로부터 한수위 파주쌀 590포(5,900Kg)를 기탁 받아 관내 취약계층을 대상으로 나눔을 실천했다고 밝혔다.
기탁 물품은 기부자의 뜻에 따라 저소득·노인·장애인 등 다양한 계층과 관련된 사회복지기관에 전달했다.

파주시사회복지협의회는 관내 42개 사회복지시설 및 관련 단체로 이뤄진 단체로, 파주시 사회복지시설 프로그램과 이용정보, 관련 정책 및 행사 등 정보를 제공하는 등 지역 사회복지종합정보망 역할을 수행하고 있다.
최명성 파주시사회복지협의회장은 “최근 물가상승 등 경제적 어려움을 겪고 있는 지역사회의 이웃들에게 따뜻한 마음의 선물이 되길 바란다”며, “앞으로도 파주시 지역사회복지 증진을 위해 적극적으로 나서겠다”고 말했다.
