충남도가 민선 8기 핵심 공약이자, 김태흠 지사의 1호 결재 사업인 ‘베이밸리 메가시티 건설’ 조기 추진을 위해 고삐를 바짝 죄고 나섰다.
민선 8기 출범 5일 만에 전담팀(TF)을 꾸리고 12일 만에 첫 회의를 개최, 충남의 신성장동력 창출과 대한민국 경제 성장 견인을 위한 베이밸리 메가시티 건설 사업 추진 로드맵 작성에 본격 돌입했다.
충남도에 따르면 도는 12일 도청 중회의실에서 베이밸리 메가시티 추진 전담팀 1차 회의를 개최했다.
베이밸리 메가시티는 천안?아산?당진?서산 등 충남 북부권과 평택?안성?화성?오산 등 경기 남부권을 아우르는 아산만 일대를 반도체와 디스플레이, 수소경제 등 대한민국 4차산업을 선도하는 글로벌 경제 거점으로 육성한다는 민선 8기 핵심 과제다.
전담팀은 베이밸리 메가시티 세부 사업 추진, 경기도와의 협력 등 공동 대응을 위해 지난 5일 구성했다.
