㈔세계여성평화그룹 대전지부(IWPG, 지부장 조백리)는 제4회 ‘평화사랑 그림그리기 국제대회’ 예선 시상식을 16일 온라인으로 개최했다.
‘평화의 빛으로 하나 되는 지구촌!’이라는 주제로 지난 6월 25일에 개최된 그림대회는 어린이와 청소년들에게 평화문화를 선도하고, 더 나아가 전 세계에 평화문화의 바람을 일으키기 위해 기획됐다.대전 지역 초·중·고 학생 약 200여 명이 참가했다.
예선 시상식에는 수상자와 학부모, 심사위원들과 내외 귀빈, IWPG회원 등 약 00여명이 참석한 가운데 초.중.고 부문별 최우수상, 우수상, 장려상, 입선, 특별상 시상이 있었으며, 수상자와 참가자들에게 평화에 대한 소망과 격려로 축하했다.
엄정한 심사를 통해 최우수상을 수상하게 된 김ㅇㅇ(고등부)학생과 외 2명에게는 상장과 각각 장학금 20만원이 수여됐다.
중등부 최우수상을 수상한 봉ㅇㅇ학생은 “우크라이나 전쟁을 보면서 정말 마음이 아팠고, 하루빨리 평화가 오기를 바라는 마음에 대회에 참가하게 됐는데, 상을 받게 되어 기쁘다. 내년에도 꼭 참가하고 싶다”라고 수상소감을 밝혔다.
조백리 지부장은 인사말을 통해 “전쟁과 평화에 대한 생각들을 화폭에 담아준 여러분들이 바로 미래의 평화문화를 이끌어 갈 주인공이 될 수 있으리라 확신하게 됐다.
우리 어른들은 평화의 세상을 하루라도 앞당겨 자녀들에게 전쟁 없는 평화의 세상을 유산으로 물려주기 위해 쉼 없이 활동할 것”이라고 말했다.
국내 지부별 예선 대회에서 뽑힌 최우수작 3점은 대한민국 최우수작 3점 선정의 대상이 되며, 세계 각국에서 IWPG 본부로 보내온 최우수상 수상작들과 본선에서 겨루게 된다.
본선에서 우수작으로 뽑힌 작품들에 대한 시상식은 11월 개최 예정이다.
IWPG는 유엔 경제사회이사회(ECOSOC)와 글로벌소통국(DGC)에 등록된 세계적인 여성 NGO다.
